Scariest day ever..
Yesterday April 4th Makenzie had a seizure. She is perfectly fine now. When I picked her up from daycare yesterday they said she had a little fever so I was going to give her some medicine later on that day. Justin was washing his car when we got home so me and her were outside playing and she was having fun and didn't seem bothered by anything so I didn't think anything of her fever. She wanted to ride in her car so we backed it up and started going down the side walk and all of a sudden it happened. Her leg started twitching then her head went back and then she went into full convolutions. I yelled for J to come and pulled her outta the car and laid her on the ground. The boy next door ran in and got his mom and I grabbed my phone and called 911. The ambulance came and we decided to ride in it to the hospital I rode with Makenzie and Justin and Chris followed behind us. When we got to the hospital she had a fever of 104.3. The doctor and the EMT said that she had the seizure due to such a high fever. They hooked her up to an IV hoping that getting liquids in her would help and it did. We got released around 11pm. She has a double ear infection which made her get a fever which caused the seizure. Even though the seizure only lasted like 1 1/2 to 2 minutes that was the scariest and longest couple of minutes ever!! So now we just have to watch her even closer now and any sign what so ever we gotta give her Tylenol to try to keep it down. Today Makenzie was back to her normal self like yesterday never happened (I guess that's the good thing about her being so young). I wanna say thanks to everyone that called and helped!! If your just finding out about this by reading this I'm sorry. Let's just hope that this doesn't happen again because it was a horrible and terrifying experience.
