Relaxing day.....

Today we decided to have a nice and relaxing day at Dan and Angie's. It was so nice to just sit around and hang out. Justin, Makenzie, and Dan went and had a blast in the pool I don't know how they were in it though cause it was FREEZING!! None of them cared though.

I think she stood here for like 30 minutes dumping water on herself. She thought that was the funniest thing ever!!!

Quick hello...

On our way to California we had about a 2 hour layover in denver to see mom. It was really good to see her even if it was only for a short time.

My little helper...

Helping me pack for our trip to California...by help I mean sitting in the suitcase and pulling everything out that I put in.

So on Wednesday we leave for California and I'm super excited to go on vacation!!! We are going to see Justin's family and his best friend Doug that's stationed in San Diego. I think one of the best parts about this trip is we booked a flight that gives us a 2 hour lay over in Denver so we get to see mom and Kendra. I feel bad cause it's about a 4 hour drive round trip for them but they were willing to make the drive so they can see us and by us I mostly mean Makenzie hahaha. I'll make sure I take plenty of pictures and try to post them while we are gone.

This morning...

So Makenzie is able to open my door, the bathroom door and Charlie's door but has never been able to open her door until this morning. I'm sleeping and I thought I heard my bedroom door close but when I opened my eyes I didn't see anything so I figured I was dreaming and rolled back over. Then a couple seconds later I hear "Mama mama mama" and when I open my eyes Makenzie's standing at the side of my bed staring at me!! I didn't even hear her in the monitor wake up or open or close her bedroom door. She's turned into a ninja and I don't like it!! Hahaha!! Guess now I gotta put a bell or something on her door so I'll definitely know when she gets out. Yay for me!!!

So this is the timeline for my morning...

4:30 a.m. - Ninja Makenzie wakes up
5:30 a.m. - gave up and realized that she wasn't going to sleep and got ready to go to Walmart(since that's the only place open and it saved me a trip from going after work)
6:15 a.m. - got to Walmart
7:15 a.m. - went to the bank to deposit a couple of things
7:45 a.m. - got back home to make sure Justin was up for work
8:20 a.m. - dropped Makenzie off at day care
8:40 a.m. - got to work to start my fun filled day.

Aren't you tired from reading all the stuff that I've done before 9 a.m.??

Doctor's Appointment

Today Makenzie had to go to the doctor because she was short one shot. So we go and I was kinda excited because it was only going to be one shot, then they said two. Lucky for Makenzie though it ended up being only one but they didn't have that shot available so she went shot less today and they will call when it comes in. On an even better note...the doctor told me that she don't have to get anymore shots until she's 4. I'm not sure how much I believe that but it sounds good.

Now time for her weight and height...

30 lbs 2 oz and she is 35.5 inches tall.

Happy Birthday Justin!!

Today is Justin's 27th birthday. He's so young!! Hahaha. Anyways, we had a bunch of fun today I got him a little remote control helicopter and he's like a kid in a candy store. Even as I'm typing this he's over here trying to master it. Guess I can just keep getting him remote control toys and I'll be good. We went to dinner at the wonderful Outback with his mom and of course we came home like 3 little pigs!! Makenzie did fantastic, she sat in her high chair and basically killed her whole plate of chicken fingers and fries. She's like my little bottomless pit!! Right before we were leaving she came and sat next to me and Justin and pointed at my baked potato and said "eat" and she probably ate more of my potato then I did. Hahaha all in all I think Justin had a good family birthday. Tomorrow night Chris is going to keep Makenzie so we can go out with our friends to celebrate his birthday.

1st official hair cut!!

So it was finally time to get Makenzie a real hair cut. We took her to Kiddie Cut right down the street from us. At first I was a little nervous because she doesn't do well sitting for long periods of time but she did alright. She didn't want to sit in any of the cool cars she just wanted to be on my lap so of course she got what she wanted. So happy Justin came too so he was able to kinda keep her entertained and take lots of wonderful pictures. All in all she did really good, probably because they gave her a lollipop!! I mean what kid wouldn't behave for a lollipop?? Hahaha
