Cupcakes!!!!

Today was Lucas' 5th birthday party. OMG I can't believe he's 5 already!! In case you don't know who Lucas is he is my best friend Kristy's son. They had cup cakes instead of cake which I think is awesome because if it was cake I probably would have been a big mess. Makenzie did so well with the cup cake that she had on a white shirt and didn't get anything on it!!! Yay Makenzie!!!

Yay!!

Makenzie slept all night last night!!! She even slept in her bed. Well I went in her room at about 9 to see where she was sleeping and she was nice and left me just enough room to squeeze in thru the door and put her back in bed. She didn't even wake up when I moved her and I had to wake her up this morning at 8 and she was in the same spot I put her in last night. Guess that means she's finally feeling better!!

Toddler bed update..

What can I say about Makenzie sleeping in the toddler bed?? I think all I really can say is she doesn't sleep in it much. So we changed it over Wednesday and that's when she started getting really sick. She's had a super nasty cough for the last couple of days and yesterday I took her to the doctor and they just said she has a really bad cold. The thing that really got me was the scale said she was 36 pounds. How did she gain like 8 pounds in 2 months?? I think her scale was wrong.

Anyways back to the sleeping arraignments...if I would have known she was gonna be sick I would have left her crib up. She'll wake up coughing and since she can get outta bed she will. The other night I went in there cause she was crying and she's walking around in a little circle with her eyes closed. Needless to say sleeping for her the past couple of days has been really rough on her. This morning she woke up at 6am coughing but then fell back asleep. I got up for work this morning and was almost ready and realized that it was 8:15am and she wasn't up yet so I went in there to wake her up and that's when I found her sleeping right next to her bedroom door by her wall. That is also where I have found her a couple different times the last couple of days when I'll just go and check on her. Good thing I open the door nice and slow or else we could have a smushed baby. Haha so that's why I said at the beginning that she doesn't sleep in it much. Hopefully once this cold goes away we all can go back to getting sleep cause boy do I miss those days!!

I think I've pretty much covered the toddler bed. There really hasn't been anything else going on.

Today we converted her crib to the toddler bed when she was at day care. We just got home and I showed her her bed and she was super excited. She climbed right in and laid down for a couple minutes then she kept getting in and out. Hopefully she'll get all of that out of her system now so she'll sleep thru the whole night. I'll let you know tomorrow how that goes

Potty training

So potty training is such a wonderful time!! Makenzie has the whole concept down but she usually won't go potty she'll just sit there. She loves pulling the toilet paper off of the roll and wiping herself. I keep telling her that you do that after you go potty but she doesn't care. She'll wipe herself then open the big toilet and throw it in there and repeat the process a million times.

Last night however she wanted to sit on the big toilet so I put her on and was holding her and she loved it. I think it was the fact that she would have fallen thru if I let her go. Haha so after that I took her down and she went right on the little potty and went pee pee!! Yay!! I started cheering when the music turned on and she went "shhhhhhh"

At day care she's always the first one to run to it but will just sit there and the poor little kids who actually use the potty have to wait. I'm hoping that she'll wake up one day and be completely trained.

Barbie 4 Wheeler..

So I know I've told y'all about kenzie's cool barbie 4 wheeler well today it finally died. She got it 7 months ago and it gets used all the time and has never been charged until today. A little while ago Kenzie was having a grand ole time and it kept getting slower and slower until it finally died and stopped moving. She tried to rock back and forth to get it to move but obviously that didn't work. That thing must have one crazy battery in it!! Haha

Shelby

Thursday when I went to pick up Kenzie Jessica told me the cutest story ever. There's a new little girl in her class that just started Thursday named Shelby. When shelby's mom came to drop her off for her 1st day Kenzie ran right up to her took her hand and showed her around the classroom. They spent all day together which is really big for Kenzie considering she usually stays to herself. Shelby's mom came to get her later on that day and Jessica told her what happened and she said at her old day care there was a girl like Makenzie there. She would protect Shelby cause I guess she's a little small for her age. I think Makenzie might have found her calling as a body guard.

Hi!!

I'm cute

The other day Justin taught Makenzie to say "I'm cute". It's really funny cause she'll say "I cute" and touch her belly everytime. Not too sure where the touching of the belly came from but I guess that's part of her cute factor.

Day care is going very good. Every so often she has a couple set backs like yesterday when she bit a boy. Granted her teacher said it was kind of justified since he pushed her first but it's still not cool. Jessica (her teacher) says Makenzie loves to sit on the potty. She'll say pee pee and Jessica will take her to the potty and she'll sit there and sit and sit and not do anything. That's pretty much what she does here. Hopefully one day she'll do it!!

We are thinking about converting her crib to the big girl toddler bed. I think she's ready cause she's always trying to climb out of the crib (thankfully she hasn't done it yet). I'd rather her be able to get in and out of bed rather then falling a long way out of the crib.

I think that's pretty much all that's been going on around here.
